A Dry Lab Model for Off the Job Training

Th new medical specialist system introduced in 2018 requires 30 hours of off the job training to obtain certification to become a cardiovascular surgeon. Off the job training qualifies as dry lab training time. Our heart model is incredibly faithful to an actual heart, and as a dry lab teaching material, the product can withstand abundant practical use. The product is already being used actively for off the job training. We hope you will consider using our heart models for such training.

Each model is faithfully created from CT scan data of an actual heart. In addition to standard adult models, we can manufacture models in diseased states, such as congenital heart disease. Rather than using a pig’s heart in a wet lab, this dry lab model is accurately modeled from an actual human heart, making it optimal as an off the job training material.

Made of Soft Resin that Can Be Cut and Sutured

Unlike conventional heart modes, this model is made from soft resin that has a texture nearly identical to human tissue. This allows it to actually be cut with a scalpel and sutured. Furthermore, it is also possible to customize the model with specific parts (such as coronary arteries), and it can be used repeatedly.

Training is Possible Anywhere

Training is Possible Anywhere

Different from a wet lab, training can be carried out in any location, as long as the medical tools (such as scalpel) required for training are on hand. We provide specialized models with parts specific for certain surgical training. It is conveniently easy to transport. Our dry lab model is easily used at distant seminar venues, and is not being widely utilized at off the job training sites.

For the next three years, we will be furthering our research with thee goal of utilizing our technology for pre-surgical simulations in the medical field.
We aim to contribute to the medical field, shortening operation time, decreasing risk, and increasing success rates for highly difficult heart surgeries.

Our standard model is made from CT data of a standard adult heart. The exterior, internal structuring, and even the cavity of the coronary artery are reproduced.

The Pediatric Congenital Heart Disease Model is made with flexible material. This product series captures four of the main pediatric congenital heart diseases. We provide a chance to conduct pediatric training, which would otherwise be difficult in a wet lab.
